Onyx United Girls FC is a FA Accredited girls’ football club.

Our aim is to support girls as they grow in confidence, ability and understanding of the game, while building important qualities such as discipline, leadership, communication, teamwork, resilience and respect.

We create environments where girls are encouraged to learn, compete, challenge themselves and enjoy their football journey.

We also understand that many parents are new to the football world. That is why we aim to support families by helping them understand pathways, opportunities, expectations and how best to support their daughter’s development.

At Onyx, we are not just developing footballers. We are developing confident young girls who are ready to grow on and off the pitch.

The National Squad

The Onyx National Squad has been created for ambitious U6–U8 girls who are serious about their football development and ready to access opportunities beyond their usual environment.

This selective squad brings together high-potential girls from across England to experience showcase fixtures against professional clubs, national tournaments and elite European tours.

The squad does not replace your daughter’s grassroots team, academy pathway, development centre, ETC, 1:1 coaching or any other football commitment. It is designed to sit alongside her existing journey and provide additional experiences that support her growth.

  • Showcase fixtures against professional clubs

  • National tournaments

  • Athletic development experiences

  • Training camps

  • Elite European tours

There are no squad fees for selected players. Families are only responsible for travel, accommodation and personal expenses where required. Parents who feel their daughter is ready for this level of opportunity are welcome to complete the application form for consideration.

The Regional League Squad

The Onyx Regional League Squad has been created for ambitious U7–U9 girls who are ready to gain further match experience in a competitive boys’ league environment.

With both Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon boys’ league opportunities, the squad gives players the chance to be challenged across the season in stronger, faster and more demanding match day settings.

This opportunity is about more than just playing matches. Each match day is used as a learning experience to help girls develop confidence, decision-making, communication, teamwork, positional understanding, resilience and competitive maturity.

The Regional League Squad does not replace your daughter’s grassroots team, academy pathway, ETC, 1:1 coaching or any other football commitment. It is designed to sit alongside her existing journey and provide an additional competitive experience.

Parents can register interest for one or both league opportunities. Families must be willing to travel within Hertfordshire for matches.
